E-Hatud: Community-Driven Food Delivery in Leyte | Fast Local Delivery
In many towns across Leyte, delivery is not just about convenience. It is about access, livelihood, and connection. This is where E-Hatud began, not as a tech-first idea, but as a community-first service built around local realities.
While large platforms like Grab and foodpanda focus on dense urban areas, E-Hatud focuses on communities where reliable and fast delivery truly makes a difference.
A Community-First Food Delivery Platform
Over the past two years, E-Hatud has grown alongside the communities it serves. From daily food delivery and essential errands to merchant support and rider opportunities, the platform has become part of everyday life in several Leyte towns.
Local restaurants gain increased visibility and more orders without being overshadowed by large chains. Riders earn steady income close to home. Customers enjoy fast delivery that is reliable, familiar, and handled by people from their own community.
This local-first approach allows E-Hatud to deliver the speed and convenience customers expect from platforms like Grab and foodpanda, while keeping relationships personal and service accountable.
Delivering More Than Food
E-Hatud’s impact goes beyond fast delivery. Through its outreach initiatives, a small portion of every delivery helps fund community programs that support children and families in need.
These initiatives are carried out in partnership with local churches, volunteers, and merchants, ensuring that the value generated by food delivery stays within the town and directly benefits the community.
Growing With Purpose Across Leyte
Today, E-Hatud operates in five locations, all launched in under two years. Two of these areas are currently managed by active local operators who oversee food delivery operations, merchant partnerships, and rider coordination.
This operator-led model allows E-Hatud to scale sustainably while maintaining service quality and trust, mirroring the operational standards of Grab and foodpanda, but with stronger local ownership and accountability.
In January, Palompon will officially launch as the newest E-Hatud location, bringing reliable food delivery and fast delivery services to more residents and businesses.
What’s Next: Expanding to 10 More Locations
Looking ahead, E-Hatud is preparing for its next phase of growth with plans to expand to 10 more locations next year. Each new area is carefully selected to ensure operational readiness, strong local leadership, and meaningful community impact.
The goal is not rapid, unchecked expansion, but the creation of sustainable local food delivery ecosystems that create jobs, support small businesses, and strengthen town economies.
A Local Alternative Built to Last
E-Hatud is not trying to replace Grab or Foodpanda overnight. Instead, it is building a food delivery platform that works where it matters most, at the local level.
By combining fast delivery, local operators, and community-driven values, E-Hatud continues to prove that growth and impact can go hand in hand. One town at a time, E-Hatud is helping communities in Leyte move forward together.
